As you read, I am thankful for coins this day!
Have you heard people say: “keep the change.” or have you even said it yourself?
There have been limited times that I have said that. The thing is that I love to keep coins. How they jingle and jangle. If you have more than enough, they can be weighty! The coins eventually turn into dollars. Seriously, isn’t that FANTASTIC? If you haven’t noticed already… I love coins! They are small coins that ultimately make their way anywhere! My daughter and I count the coins. Look at the images. Clasp them in our palms, shake them, and sing Jingle Bells, ha! Even in March 😍
Have you checked the dates on the coins recently? I love to see what year they are from. The quarters always have a new image every year.
How they do the selection process is beyond me. But I looked it up on CoinNews.net, to see what the new images were for this year.
Here they are:
I am trying to get every quarter from each state. I have started and only have ten so far. There are a lot of repeats that look like this:
Some banks or institutions have this feature where they move the “change” of what you’ve spent to your savings! Virtual COINS! Not as fun as the real coins but it does help you save in the long run.
There is so much more that I can share about coins. They are so handy. All right, I will share another story! Before starting high school, my step-sister and I would go to an ice cream shop. Well, our allowances would eventually run out. Guess what we resorted to? COINS, you guessed it!
Coins also remind me of this passage in the Bible:
15 Then the Pharisees went and plotted how to entangle him in his words. 16 And they sent their disciples to him, along with the Herodians, saying, “Teacher, we know that you are true and teach the way of God truthfully, and you do not care about anyone's opinion, for you are not swayed by appearances.[a] 17 Tell us, then, what you think. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?” 18 But Jesus, aware of their malice, said, “Why put me to the test, you hypocrites? 19 Show me the coin for the tax.” And they brought him a denarius.[b] 20 And Jesus said to them, “Whose likeness and inscription is this?” 21 They said, “Caesar's.” Then he said to them, “Therefore render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.” 22 When they heard it, they marveled. And they left him and went away.
Letting you know that the last day to do taxes is Tuesday, April 18th!
These Pharisees were always trying something new! They marveled and eventually left because of what Jesus said!
Therefore render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.” — vs 21
I, too, marvel at this.
To render the things that are of God, to begin with.
Did you know that you are bearing the image of God? Therefore let us yield ourselves unto God!
Read 2 Corinthians 8 and pay attention to verse 5, please.
We are priceless. We were bought at a price. Now we have faith and are alive.
Take care, be blessed, be encouraged, and until next time 💕
